The SLUGGO NCAA Men's Basketball
Tournament Challenge Rules
1. NCAA Post-Season Tournament Challenge: Teams are made up of sixteen
NCAA Division I basketball teams that were selected to participate in the sixty-eight team
post-season tournament.
Teams are selected by the team owner before the tournament's first round games by
choosing one team from each seed group (a team consists of one number one seed,
one number two seed, one number three seed, etc.).
The Challenge starts with the first round's Thursday games, so the "play-in" games do not count.
2. Scoring: Rotisserie teams accumulate points by multiplying each NCAA tournament
basketball team's seed number by the round factor if they win that round's game. The
first round has a factor of one, and each round has a factor double that of the
previous round. The tournament has six rounds, with round factors of 1, 2, 4, 8,
16, and 32 (a number three seed that wins its first game would receive three points,
and would receive six points if it wins its second game).
3. Team Selection: Team rosters can be called in, mailed to, or brought to the
Challenge Commissioner according to the following schedule:
By mail -- entries must be postmarked no later than Wednesday, March 18
By e-mail -- entries must be time-stamped by 12:00 noon ET, Thursday, March 19
e-mail address: sluggoswebpage@earthlink.net
4. Standings: Standings will be tabulated and issued after the tournament's
second, fourth, and final rounds on the Sluggo's Sports Home Page at:
sluggoswebpage.net
Should you desire an entry form that has all sixty-four teams arranged in their seed groups to make selecting
your team easier, they will be available by noon on Monday, March 16 on the Sluggo's Sports Home Page.
The Excel spreadsheet will also be available by noon on Monday, March 16.
